Thanksgiving Weekend 2009

I finally made it back from Las Vegas with the family. We were there from Wednesday evening through Sunday morning. Fortunately, we were gifted a free room at Bally’s. It was a terrific room that over-looked the Paris Hotel with the mock Eiffel Tower and the fountains at the Bellagio. I was pretty content just staying in the room and looking at the fountains every few minutes. But, the fam wanted to get out and do one of the more desired exercises at this time of the year, shopping.

Just before we left we stayed at an outstanding hotel/ resort called the "M". It's located a few miles from the strip. In fact we had this great view of the strip across the desert landscape. It was beautiful. Then at night there are the City lights. The design if this place far exceeds any that I've encountered on the Strip. I will qualify that by saying that I have not yet visited the Wynn, Encore, the Bellagio and etc. The truth is I don't get around Vegas too often. But, I was really impressed with the "M". Granted this is purely an aesthetic assessment. This has nothing to do with the slot machines or any aspect of gambling. I did not gamble at all while I was in Las Vegas. I say check it out if your in town. I have some pictures at the end of this post.

Thanksgiving Weekend Pictures - Saturday Morning

It looks from the pictures as if there was a good turnout throughout the holiday weekend. I see a few familiar faces among the crowd that have not been visiting for a while. It's great to see them participate again. Of those that I both see in the pictures and know the name are Kevin and Manny.
