Obama (a.k.a. Leonard) to the right.
I heard people calling him Leonard. Can you believe that? Not Barry, not Hussein and certainly not Barrack; but Leonard. If I'd gotten a chance I would have asked for clarification. But there was just too much activity. There were like 25 or more folks that showed up. So how could I focus on him being called Leonard? I had to concentrate on playing the games. The competition was pretty tough. There was Deandre, Raphael, Tony, Brandon, James and Mathew Anderson, Eric, Steve, Roy (the Judge) Williams and Mike (the Candidate) Fox, Bill (the Commisioner) and thats to mention only a few. Once again Obama (a.k.a. Leonard) left early. This time he said he had to go to the hospital. Now this is where it REALLY got confusing because, you know, he's trying to get that healthcare (a.k.a. Obamacare) through. You know so they can't deny folks with pre-existing conditions and all. But he said no; he said he was going to the hospital because his wife had just had a handsome, healthy baby boy.
Now come on now, we already know that the Prez has got two kids, Sasha and Mailia!! He has no sons. And Michelle was just on the news the other day. She didn't look pregnant to me. And come on, if the President had had a baby boy it would be all over the news. I can only draw one conclusion from all this, the Secret Service is great. Look how they kept all this quiet. Although Obama was saying this was his first and only child; I think he just got caught up in th hype and secrecy that the Secret Service uses to keep him safe, and Man, they're good. His visits to Chaparral aren't even covered in the regular news. It sure makes me feel special!!
A few pictures of the day....
BON VOYAGE NICK DALAFU!!!!
Nick is headed overseas for a time. My understanding is that he will be getting some special training and attention with his brother who is a professional basketball player in the Philpines. Nick will be missed. Personally I have enjoyed my times with Nick. He has grown so much as a player and a person. I fear what new weapons he will return from the Philipines with. He already has that killer three-point shot that he can get off in a split second. Best of luck and may God be with you on your journey to the Far East.
PAC 10 TOURNAMENT AND LUXURY SEATING AT THE STAPLES CENTER!!!!
I had intended to attend the farewell party for Nick, but I got a call from a buddy at work with an offer I could not refuse. He had an extra ticket for the Pac 10 Basketball Championship Game between Cal Berkeley and the University of Washington. The seats were located in the luxury suites of the VIP area of the Staples Center. The suite featured free snacks, food and drinks of all kinds. What really capped off the evening for me was the Huskies' victory over Cal for the Pac 10 Championship and a spot in the NCAA Playoffs. It was a very special day indeed.
