More Gloom But Then, Here Comes the Sun

When I left for the courts from Chino Hills on Saturday morning, there was promise of sunshine. There was a hazy sun glow in the Hills. However, as I drove toward Diamond Bar, that quickly dissipated and the cloud cover made for the usual overcast gloom conditions that we've experienced Saturday mornings at the Chaparral.

DeAndre, Mike and Zach pose for a picture, but wait who could that be in the back with the rabbit ears thing?

Okay so here's one without the ears.

As the morning progressed the sun eventually came out, although hazy; to reveal a robust turnout once again for our Saturday morning escapades. Two courts were active with a few folks waiting. There were several new faces to much delight. Acquaintances of Robert and others decided to give the games a try. Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of getting all the names (maybe there needs to be a sign-in sheet). But, one of our occasional participants has been bringing some family and friends, enough to populate a team, and that has helped the activities tremendously. I will make an effort to get names next week, if we are fortunate enough to be graced by their presence once again.

Vigorous play defined the day.

Look carefully for a new face, name to follow in future postings.

Since DeAndre is in the foreground of the above picture, let us all wish him well as he ships off to a few training camps. I believe he will be leaving during the week to explore some other more rewarding opportunities in the basketball world. More information to follow in the future.

I got a shot of Rich, so now this posting is official and can hit the presses!

More new faces.......

Victor with his Uncle!!

Robert "Wei-Jin" Lee the official WBA photographer.

Eric ponders the day......

I made a few errors in the previous postings, which bring into question some of my Internet news sources. Anyway, Jermaine O'Neal may be signing with the Boston Celtics and not Shaquille O'Neal. Further, I heard that Hedo Türkoğlu may be talking with the Lakers. Now wouldn't that be a major coup for the purple and gold? Who cares about D Wade and his minions, LeBron and Chris Bosh? Or should I say Chris Bosh and LeBron for the proper order of significance?
I hope you all have a good week and I hope to see you all next week!!
Here are some additional pictures just recieived from Robert Lee!! Thanks Robert!!
